Οταν φιλοξενήθηκε το άρθρο, στην τιμητική θέση της αρθρογραφίας του καθηγητή Buiter, στους ''F.T.'', η Έλενα Πανερίτη ήταν άγνωστη στην Ελλάδα. Τώρα είναι βουλευτής του Πασοκ στην δεύτερη θέση του ψηφοδελτίου επικρατείας.
