HAVANA-MIAMI 1/ ARTE ''TIMES ARE CHANGING''

Follow everyday life as experienced by young men and women from Havana and Miami over three months. In Havana, revolution is no longer what it used to be. In Miami, most Cubans have become Americans. Times have changed and new hopes and aspirations fuel the future of a new generation.

The stories of young lives in these two cities are told through short (2 minutes long) video chronicles. The individual subjects (12 in all), will be filmed by a team in Havana (Cuba) and a team in Miami (USA). These episodes will follow six people from each of the two cities over three months, starting on February 22nd, 2010.

Internet users can follow these stories via an original non-linear interface. They can watch, and respond with video, photo or written comments. Users can also send videos to friends and embed them into their own blogs and social media sites.

"Havana-Miami: times are changing" is an original project that is coproduced by Arte, the French-German cultural channel, in collaboration with Radio Television Suisse. It is co-produced with Alegria (Paris) and Tamouz media (New York), in association with the Knight Center for International Media at the University of Miami (USA) and in collaboration with Troqua Vision (Cuba).

Utilizing all of the stories over the life of the series, "Havana-Miami", will premier as a full length documentary to be broadcast on ARTE and TSR2 in the Autumn of 2010.
